About this position

We have a second open PhD position exploring the developmental origins of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with a cross-species approach. It is PhD position in neuroscience with joint supervision by the labs of Theo Karayannis Bea Latal Michael von Rhein within the URPP Adaptive Brain Circuits in Development and Learning (AdaBD)

Your responsibilities
·      Analyze large-scale human fetal and neonatal MRI datasets (open data)
·      Conduct advanced data processing, including DTI and resting-state fMRI
·      Collaborate on cross-species studies involving mouse models, analysing mouse 9.4T MRI / DTI data
·      Integrate neuroimaging findings with maternal and environmental data
·      Present findings at international conferences and contribute to publications
Your profile
·      High motivation to carry out a PhD in the field of neuroscience
·      Master’s degree in neuroscience, biology, psychology, or related fields
·      Experience with MRI data analysis and statistical modeling
·      Some programming skills in Python or Linux Bash
·      Interest in interdisciplinary and translational research
·      Excellent organizational and communication skills
·      Excellent English knowledge

Funding details

Full funding including tuition fees and living expenses is available for this position. The scholarship covers all educational costs and provides a monthly stipend.
