About this position
PeerPower is inviting Early-Career Researchers to join a pilot training in Psychological First Aid in Academia. The call is open to PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers from all disciplines and diverse institutional backgrounds.
Participants will test training materials and digital tools before wider release, gaining early access to a structured, evidence-informed approach to peer support in academic environments. The training is designed to help ambassadors recognize stress, burnout, and social isolation, apply the Look-Listen-Link framework, and understand ethical boundaries, referral pathways, self-care, and sustainability in peer-support roles.
The course is hosted on the eDoer platform and takes about 3 hours to complete. Training access runs from 8 April to 20 April. After completing the modules, participants will join one short online focus group for feedback, with two options available: 22 April, 12:00–13:00 CET or 28 April, 10:30–11:30 CET.
This is not a degree program or funded scholarship; it is a training and participation opportunity for researchers interested in mental health advocacy, mentoring, inclusive leadership, and building a more resilient research culture.
Funding details
Full funding including tuition fees and living expenses is available for this position. The scholarship covers all educational costs and provides a monthly stipend.
