PhD and Postdoc Positions in Applied Economic History, Creativity & Aging University of Southern Denmark in Denmark

Open PhD and Postdoc positions are available in Applied Economic History, focusing on creativity and aging, at the University of Southern Denmark. The research project, funded by the Carlsberg Foundation, investigates how individuals remain creative later in life, leveraging rich historical data and modern econometric methods. The project addresses broader questions of long-run human capital, productivity, and life-cycle dynamics, situated at the intersection of economic history and cultural economics.

We are seeking candidates with strong quantitative skills and a keen interest in historical data, creativity, and long-run economic processes. The positions include a 3-year postdoc and two 3–4 year PhD roles. Predoc opportunities may also be available via the PhD track. The project is led by Professor Karol J. Borowiecki, a pioneer in the economic history of the arts.
