The research focus spans cancer, epilepsy, and malaria, with projects including pangenome-based tandem repeats analysis, machine learning for gene prediction in Anopheles gambiae, and advanced computational tools for population genomics. Collaborations involve DKFZ Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum, Heidelberg University, and Covenant University Bioinformatics Research (CUBRe).

Key research topics include:

• Pangenome-based tandem repeats analysis framework development, extending tools like HipSTR and prancSTR.
