About this position
The SMART Lab at Indiana University Bloomington, led by Professor Byung-Cheol Min, is recruiting 1-2 fully funded PhD students (Spring/Fall 2026 start) and one fully funded postdoctoral researcher (immediate start, up to 2 years) to work in the areas of multi-robot systems, human-robot interaction, and robot learning. The lab is part of the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, a leading institution in robotics and intelligent systems. Research in the SMART Lab focuses on developing new methods and technologies for collaborative robotics, advancing human-robot interaction, and exploring robot learning for real-world applications. Students and postdocs will have opportunities to develop independent research agendas, collaborate with faculty and peers, and contribute to cutting-edge projects.
Applicants should be highly self-motivated, creative, and committed to pushing the boundaries of robotics.
