Universitätsklinikum Bonn is hiring for PhD and Postdoc positions in real-world human neuroscience and clinical neurotechnology.

The project focuses on how the brain forms memories and generates seizures in everyday life, combining laboratory-style rigor with naturalistic, real-world experiments. The research uses custom-built wearable multimodal sensor networks, including ear-/scalp-EEG, ECG, PPG, respiration, skin conductance, motion tracking, and eye-tracking.

Successful candidates will work on topics such as:

- naturalistic experiments with eye-tracking glasses, ambulatory EEG, and multi-night sleep recordings
- building rich multimodal datasets spanning brain, body, eye movements, sleep, and context
- developing deep-learning models for neural decoding and seizure detection

The post is especially relevant for applicants with interests in neuroscience, medical science, computer science, psychology, biology, and electrical engineering. The group seeks curious scientists with strong Matlab/Python skills and a desire to connect lab-based methods with real-life human behavior and clinical epilepsy research.

You will join a collaborative team with first-author opportunities and access to a world-leading epilepsy-monitoring program, including human intracranial and single-neuron recordings.
