The Human-Oriented Robotics and Control (HORC) Lab at the University of Delaware is recruiting for PhD and postdoctoral positions with immediate start and review beginning right away.

The lab works at the intersection of robotics, human-robot interaction, artificial intelligence, and control systems, with research themes including human-robot interaction control, rehabilitation robotics, robotic prostheses, and human-AI interaction. The lab website also highlights work on human-swarm interaction, gait rehabilitation, lower-limb prostheses, compliant human-humanoid collaboration, neural human-robot interfaces, and neuromuscular interfaces.

PhD applicants should have a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a closely related field. Prior research experience is highly desirable, and strong spoken and written English is required.

Postdoctoral applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a closely related field. A strong publication record and demonstrated English proficiency are required.
