The University of Basel's Center for Jewish Studies is seeking a PhD assistant (60% position) in Modern Jewish History, starting as early as August 1, 2026. This four-year, fixed-term position offers the opportunity to engage in both teaching and research, with a teaching load of two semester hours per week. The successful candidate will be expected to realize an independent dissertation project in the field of Modern Jewish History, participate in academic self-administration, and support student supervision within the Center.
