Bloomberg LP is offering a fully funded Data Science PhD Fellowship for the academic year 2026-2027, aimed at supporting exceptional doctoral students working in computer science, artificial intelligence, and related fields. The fellowship covers all tuition costs and provides a generous annual stipend of $45,000 for living expenses, research, and conference travel. Recipients will benefit from mentorship, career counseling, and research internships with Bloomberg’s AI/ML teams, and are required to complete a 14-week paid summer internship at Bloomberg each year. The fellowship is renewable for up to three years.

Research topics of interest include agentic AI, LLM reasoning, semantic parsing, human-AI interaction, information retrieval, knowledge graphs, domain adaptation, multi-modal models, summarization, time-series modeling, AI for finance, and trustworthy AI. Applicants must be full-time PhD students during 2026-2027, with graduation expected by the end of 2029, and must remain enrolled for the duration of the grant. Bloomberg does not provide visa sponsorship; applicants must have self-sponsored work authorization.
