The selected research associate will work with NIST researchers to analyze human-subjects survey and interview data, conduct thematic qualitative coding and statistical analysis, map user behavior and organizational constraints to NIST cybersecurity frameworks, and help process public and industry comments on upcoming federal guidelines. The work also includes supporting workshops and co-authoring technical reports, papers, and presentations.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should be enrolled in Computer/Information Science, Human Factors, Social Science, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, with at least one year remaining in the Ph.D. program. Prior research or work experience in cybersecurity and direct human-subjects research experience are required, and qualitative coding experience is preferred.
