Mountains of the Moon University is inviting applications for a PhD in Agroecological Sciences for the August intake 2026/2027. This is a doctoral opportunity in the Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, with research pathways in Agriculture and Environment.

The programme is described as a PhD by Research focused on the study of agrifood systems in the context of environmental conservation. Students can pursue research aligned with their interests and career goals across themes such as animal sciences and aquaculture, crop breeding and biotechnology, agro-processing, food sciences and nutrition, biosystems engineering, agricultural economics, soil science and agronomy, agricultural extension, natural resources management, biodiversity conservation and wildlife management, pollution and waste management, climate change and atmospheric studies, and environmental law and policy studies.
