Students will explore how sediment accumulation redistributes stress during basin initiation, when ancient crustal structures reactivate or remain dormant, and which geodynamic conditions promote mineral system development. The project emphasizes the role of deep Earth processes in understanding strategic and critical minerals relevant to the energy transition.
