PhD opportunity in robotics at the National University of Singapore (NUS), in collaboration with CY Cergy Paris Université and the ETIS laboratory in France.

The doctoral project is supervised by Prof. Cecilia Laschi at NUS, with collaboration from Dr. Laura Cohen and Prof. Alexandre Pitti. It is part of a France-Singapore research collaboration within IPAL, the International AI Research Lab involving CNRS, NUS, A*STAR, CY Cergy Paris Université, and other partners.

The research sits at the intersection of soft robotics, physical human-robot interaction, embodied intelligence, and assistive social robotics. The goal is to develop robotic systems capable of more natural, responsive, and socially aware physical interaction with humans.

The PhD will be carried out mainly in Singapore at NUS, with research stays at ETIS in France. The post is aimed at candidates with backgrounds in robotics, control, soft robotics, human-robot interaction, artificial intelligence, computational modelling, perception, or related fields.

Eligibility is restricted to candidates with European nationality because of the France-Singapore collaboration framework.
