PhD opportunity at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) in the Department of Physics and Nanotechnology for research on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning-aided discovery of novel and innovative materials for quantum and energy applications.

The position is offered in the research group of Dibyendu Dey, Assistant Professor (Research Track) at SRMIST and computational physicist/materials scientist. The post is under two ANRF-funded projects, and the group highlights access to state-of-the-art computational facilities, advanced institutional computational infrastructure, and opportunities for national and international collaboration with IITs, research laboratories, and international universities.

Eligibility: Applicants should have an MSc in Physics. Preferred skills include Python and/or MATLAB programming. Prior experience with machine learning models is desirable but not mandatory.
