PhD or Postdoc Position in Work–Life Boundaries, Digital Technologies, and Life Transitions at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau in Germany

The Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) is seeking a PhD candidate or Postdoc to join the team of Professor Gisela Gerlach in the Department of Business Administration, HR & Organization. The position is part of a DFG-funded research project focused on individual, technology-based boundary management between work and private life. The research aims to develop an empirically grounded understanding of how digital technologies influence work–life boundaries and life transitions, such as parenthood or career changes.

The successful candidate will engage in qualitative research, including conducting interviews, recruiting participants, analyzing data using grounded theory, and publishing results in academic journals. The position offers opportunities for academic qualification (PhD or Postdoc), active career support, and participation in international conferences. The role is part-time (75%, 29.25 hours/week), funded according to pay group 13 TV-L, and limited to three years. Candidates should demonstrate strong interest in empirical research, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
