PhD Position in Antibody–Drug Conjugates for Alzheimer’s Disease Therapy Wrocław University of Science and Technology in Poland

PhD opportunity at Wrocław University of Science and Technology in a SONATA-BIS NCN project focused on the development of the first antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) for Alzheimer’s disease therapy.

The project combines chemistry, biology, and imaging mass cytometry (IMC) to investigate Alzheimer’s pathology in cell-based models and mouse models. The doctoral student will work on synthesizing a panel of metal-conjugated antibodies for IMC, preparing mouse brain tissue sections and performing IMC experiments, carrying out in vitro studies of ADCs, analyzing and interpreting data, and contributing to scientific publications.

Applicants should have a Master’s degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field, or be in the final semester of an MSc with a planned thesis defense between July and September 2026. Prior laboratory experience, especially with cell-based assays or flow cytometry, is welcome but not required. The team is looking for a motivated candidate interested in interdisciplinary and international research and willing to learn new experimental methods.

Funding includes a doctoral scholarship plus an additional project-funded scholarship. The position is part of the Doctoral School of Wrocław University of Science and Technology and is funded by the National Science Centre, Poland under the SONATA-BIS competition.
