The successful candidate will join a leading research group in Amsterdam, Netherlands, to build a new type of atom interferometer using continuous cold and ultracold atom sources. The project aims to develop compact, high-performance quantum sensors for acceleration, rotation, and other inertial forces, integrating with European optical time/frequency networks, quantum simulation, and ultracold atom experiments.

The PhD student will conduct state-of-the-art atomic physics experiments, develop quantum technology and experiment control systems, and characterize interferometer performance in terms of sensitivity, stability, and scale factor. Additional responsibilities include assisting in teaching undergraduates and master students and publishing results in peer-reviewed journals.
