About this position

Jönköping University invites applications for a PhD position within the research project Cybersecurity Awareness in Production (CyProd). This project is situated in the field of computer science, focusing on the study of computers, algorithms, hardware and software design, and their impact on industry and society. CyProd aims to develop a comprehensive framework with key performance indicators to evaluate and govern cybersecurity awareness measures in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

As a doctoral student, your primary responsibility will be to pursue doctoral studies, which include attending doctoral courses, participating in scientific conferences, publishing research papers, and writing both a licentiate thesis and a doctoral dissertation. Up to 20% of your working time may be allocated to teaching or administrative duties, providing valuable experience in academic and industry-connected programmes.

Requirements: Applicants must hold a second-cycle degree in computer science, computer engineering, or informatics, with at least 240 credits (minimum 60 credits at second cycle level) or equivalent knowledge from Sweden or abroad. Essential skills include knowledge of cybersecurity, research methodology, and the ability to collaborate and plan work. Advantageous qualifications include proficiency in Swedish (spoken and written), practical experience in cybersecurity, and experience in organizational development.

Funding: The position is full-time and temporary, with a starting salary of 35,900 SEK/month in accordance with collective agreements. Additional benefits and conditions are provided as per university policy.
