The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is inviting applications for a PhD position in the Department of Chemical Engineering, supervised by Associate Professor Amilton Barbosa Botelho Junior. The research focuses on the electrochemical separation of critical metals, contributing to sustainable mining, recycling, and the circular economy. This opportunity is part of the supervisor's start-up packages and is situated within the NTNU Faculty of Natural Sciences.

Preferred candidates will have experience in hydrometallurgy and biohydrometallurgy, laboratory work, and mentoring undergraduate students.
