The Department of Languages and Literatures at the University of Basel, specifically the English division led by Professor Miriam Locher, is offering a 60% PhD position in English linguistics starting August 1, 2026. The position includes two hours of teaching per week in English and/or general linguistics, administrative and co-teaching tasks, as well as student advising and supervision of written work related to English linguistics.

Presence in Basel for at least two full days per week is required.
