The Junior Research Group led by Andrea Mastropietro at the Department of Life Science Informatics and Data Science, University of Bonn, and the Lamarr Institute is recruiting a PhD student.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold an M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Bioinformatics, Computational Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. Strong programming skills are expected, with Python preferred. Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch is important. A background in chemistry or biology is a plus, and strong written and spoken English is required.

Funding and conditions: the role is a PhD position at TV-L E13, 50% for 3 years, based in Bonn, Germany. The post also offers access to GPU clusters and workstations and participation in teaching activities within the international M.Sc. program in Life Science Informatics.
