About this position
The Cooperative Human-AI Teaming (CHAT) Lab in the Department of Computer Science at Kennesaw State University, Marietta, Georgia, is inviting applications for a Ph.D. position starting in Fall 2026. The lab conducts cutting-edge research in Human-centered AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), trustworthy AI, collaborative machine learning, interactive AI systems, and novel AI algorithm design. This opportunity allows students to contribute to foundational AI research at one of Georgia’s fastest-growing research institutions.
Applicants should have a strong academic background or research experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Human-AI Interaction, or Software Engineering. A master’s degree in computer science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field is preferred, but exceptional bachelor-level candidates will also be considered. Passion for human-centered AI, trustworthy AI, NLP, and interdisciplinary interactive learning is essential.

Funding details
