PhD opening at Johannes Kepler University Linz in the Computational Data Analytics group of Prof. Johannes Fürnkranz at the Institute for Application-Oriented Knowledge Processing (FAW). The position is aimed at research in machine learning, game playing, symbolic machine learning, machine learning and logic, inductive rule learning, and neurosymbolic AI.

The role is advertised as a half-time university assistant (doctoral student) for up to 4 years, with the possibility of upgrading to a full-time position. The post is suitable for candidates with a strong interest in AI/ML research and related formal or logic-based approaches.
