PhD Position in Polymer Chemistry and Biosensors Technische Universität Dresden in Germany

A PhD position in Polymer Chemistry and Biosensors is available in the group led by Alla Synytska at Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. The research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of polymeric-based core-shell particles, enzyme immobilization, and the fabrication and investigation of biosensors, particularly their electrochemical reactions. The project is highly interdisciplinary, combining aspects of polymer chemistry, materials science, and biosensor technology.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in preparative polymer or organic chemistry, with hands-on experience in surface modification and polymerization techniques such as ATRP and RAFT. The role requires strong laboratory skills, the ability to conduct experimental research, and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Candidates should be motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and possess strong communication skills in English. The position is for a three-year term starting April 1, 2026.
