We are seeking motivated candidates for a fully funded PhD position focused on the modification of porous nanoparticles with functional polymers for Pickering interfacial catalysis . The position has a synthetic focus, and the successful candidate will acquire modern techniques in organic/polymer synthesis and the modification of inorganic surfaces to regulate catalyst selectivity.

Our group focuses on the synthesis of functional polymers, with an emphasis on self-assembled polymer micelles, nanoreactors, and advanced catalytic materials. We explore innovative polymerization techniques and surface modifications to develop materials for applications in catalysis, biomaterials, and sustainable technologies

Requirements: Master's degree in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry catalysis, chemistry of materials, or a related field, obtained within the last 2 years (2023 or later).
