Open PhD position in the Christodouleas group at University of Massachusetts Lowell.

The project focuses on developing a portable electrochemical sensing platform for the detection of toxic gases, pollutants, and/or pathogenic bacteria. This is a research-intensive PhD opportunity for students interested in sensing, analytical chemistry, biosensing, and related interdisciplinary work.

The selected student will enroll in the PhD program at UMass Lowell with a planned start date of September 2026. Funding is provided through a TA or RA stipend together with a tuition and fees waiver, making this a supported doctoral opening rather than a self-funded position.
