The Department of Atmospheric Science at the Central University of Rajasthan is inviting applications for PhD positions for the 2025-2026 academic year (second phase) through the University Level Test. The department, part of the School of Earth Sciences, is DST-FIST supported and offers research opportunities in a range of cutting-edge topics including Extreme Weather Events, Climate Dynamics and Variability, Atmospheric Chemistry, Air Quality & Health, Climate Change & Water Resources, and Numerical Modeling of Atmospheric and Oceanic Processes.

Eligible candidates should hold an M.Sc. or M.Tech. in relevant fields such as Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Oceanography, Marine Science, Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Chemistry, Geo Informatics, Geology, Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Climate Sciences, Agriculture, or Water Resources, with a graduation in science/technology and a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university. A 5% relaxation in marks is available for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS candidates.
