About this position

The Biometrics & Image Perception Lab (BIPLAB) at the School of Automation Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, is seeking highly motivated PhD students. The lab specializes in cutting-edge research at the intersection of computer vision, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence, with a strong emphasis on biometric recognition. Key research areas include face recognition, gait recognition, and multimodal biometrics. Candidates should have a solid academic background in Computer Science, AI, or related fields. Possible research topics include robust mask-invariant and low-resolution face recognition, various gait recognition methods, and cross-architecture knowledge distillation for biometrics.
