PhD Positions in Nanosciences, Chemistry and Materials at University of Genoa University of Genoa in Italy

Three PhD positions are open at the University of Genoa in the Sciences and Technologies of Chemistry and Materials area, within the Nanosciences curriculum (Code 12205), in agreement with the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT).

The research themes are centered on nanosciences, chemistry, materials science, and related physics topics, including: (1) photonics and light-matter interaction in hybrid low-dimensional semiconductor nanomaterials, (2) development of colloidal nanocrystals for energy-related applications, and (3) synthesis of colloidal nanocrystals and advanced spectroscopy.

The call states that there are 3 places / 3 grants, with an annual gross grant amount of €19,500 (including social security expenses payable by the recipient). The programme is a standard PhD admission call rather than a scholarship-only announcement.

Eligibility and selection details include a relevant academic qualification, transcript of records, curriculum vitae et studiorum, a research project written in English, and up to three recommendation letters.
