This position focuses on academic research and teaching in the planning and design of railroad systems, with a particular emphasis on the application and further development of digital planning methods such as Building Information Modeling (BIM). The successful candidate will participate in both national and international research projects, engage in communication with international students, and contribute to publications for international conferences. The role is designed to support the pursuit of a PhD and offers a unique opportunity to gain in-depth expertise in railway infrastructure and digital engineering methods.

The position is initially limited to three years, with the possibility of extension, and is funded at 50% of full-time weekly hours (potentially increasing to 100% depending on research funding). Remuneration is according to salary group E 13 TV-L.
