Luleå University of Technology is seeking a PhD student to join their Urban Water Engineering research group, focusing on pollutant processes in nature-based stormwater systems.
Project focus:
?? Study how pollutants (e.g. PFAS, hydrocarbons, trace metals) behave in stormwater biofilters.
?? Conduct lab column experiments with isotope tracing.
?? Use process-based modeling to link lab results with field data.
Requirements:
?? MSc (or equivalent, 240 ECTS with 60 at advanced level) in environmental/water engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, sustainable urban development, environmental science, or related field.
?? Knowledge in water treatment, chemical process engineering, or pollutant transport in soils.
?? Strong English skills; Swedish is a plus.
?? Ability to work independently and in a team.
?? A driver’s license is an advantage.
