The position also involves acquiring or demonstrating knowledge of clinical study regulations and Good Clinical Practice.
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree based on a dissertation and a relevant master’s degree. For diplomas awarded outside the European Union, a certificate of equivalence (NARIC) is required. Experience in oncology research is considered an asset, and candidates should have a record of promising research and relevant scientific publications. Strong communication, social, and organisational skills are essential, along with an interest in coaching students and science communication.
The appointment is temporary for three years, with the possibility of extension for another three years upon positive evaluation. Remuneration is determined according to salary scale AAP5, and Ghent University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including training and education opportunities, 36 days of paid leave, bicycle commuting reimbursement, ecocheques, and more.
