About this position

SKEMA Business School is advertising a 15-month post-doctoral position in Network Modelling and Resilience Optimization at the Sophia Antipolis campus in France.

The position is hosted by the Centre for Analytics and Management Science (CAMS) and is funded through the MOBILIENCE project supported by the ANR PEPR IRIMA. The research focus is on climate adaptation, urban resilience, and digital innovation, with a specific emphasis on improving the resilience of urban mobility networks to flood-induced disruptions. The work involves collecting data, developing multimodal network models and simulation frameworks, and designing stochastic, time-adaptive rerouting plans to keep city-wide mobility functional during major flood events.

The successful candidate will work with Professor David Rey and collaborate with project partners such as Laboratory EMob-Lab at Université Gustave Eiffel. The role includes research publications, conference presentations, and workshop participation.

Eligibility: applicants must hold a PhD in operations research, engineering, mathematics, economics, or computer science. Experience in network modelling and transportation is desirable but not mandatory. Strong data science and programming skills are required, together with excellent English communication skills; French is a plus.

Funding and benefits: the contract offers a gross monthly salary of €3,700–€3,950 depending on experience, plus meal vouchers, complementary health insurance, employee benefits, travel and conference funding, remote work up to two days per week, and support with visa and relocation procedures if needed.

How to apply: send a cover letter, CV (including publications and references), and one or two of your best publications in PDF format to [email protected]. Applications are reviewed until 2026-06-30 or until the position is filled.
