About this position

The Center for Teaching & Learning at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring two postdoctoral associates in Generative AI and Pedagogy: one focused on Arts & Humanities/Social Sciences and one focused on STEM. These are two-year, full-time postdoc positions within CU Boulder’s teaching-and-learning ecosystem.

The postdocs will contribute to research and programmatic efforts around teaching and learning with AI. Responsibilities include synthesizing emerging research, translating scholarship on generative AI in higher education into faculty-facing guidance, designing and supporting Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and/or Discipline Based Educational Research (DBER) projects, contributing to external grant development, piloting and assessing AI tools in instructional contexts, and supporting workshops, consultations, and discipline-informed resources.

The role is especially relevant for candidates with interests in education, computer science, information technology, and related areas of pedagogy, educational technology, and AI in higher education. The CTL also emphasizes building scalable resources such as guides, modules, case studies, and best-practice frameworks, and collaborating with campus partners to integrate research into programming.

Eligibility: applicants must hold a Ph.D. or terminal degree in a field and have 1 year of post-secondary teaching experience as instructor of record. The application requires a CV, cover letter, statement of teaching philosophy, and three references.

Funding: the annual salary is $70,000 plus benefits, including medical, dental, retirement, paid time off, tuition assistance, and an ECO Pass.

Deadline: for full consideration, apply by 2026-06-30. Applications must be submitted through CU Boulder Jobs.
