About this position
Radboud University is advertising a postdoc position at iHub for the AuthentiMark project, focused on human-computer interaction, usable security, digital identity, and source authenticity using ID-wallets. The project aims to strengthen digital trust by designing and evaluating digital watermarks and signatures that help people verify whether online messages, images, videos, and documents come from a reliable source and have not been altered.
The postdoc will work in an interdisciplinary environment at Radboud University, in close collaboration with the AuthentiMark consortium and the Digital Security group at iCIS. The role includes designing user flows and interfaces, building interactive prototypes, conducting user studies and online experiments, and presenting results at national and international conferences. Up to 20% of the time may be spent on teaching.
Eligibility highlights: applicants should have a completed PhD in a relevant area such as computer science, artificial intelligence, HCI, or industrial design; a publication record in HCI or interdisciplinary venues; experience or strong interest in user-centered/participatory design, value-driven design, and qualitative/user research; strong English and excellent Dutch; and frontend/web development skills. Experience with digital identity, interdisciplinary research, and ID-wallets is considered an advantage.
Funding and conditions: this is a 4-year full-time paid postdoc appointment (1.0 fte) with salary in scale 10, plus holiday allowance, year-end bonus, extra vacation days, flexible work options, and other employment benefits. The project is funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) within the NWA/KIC AuthentiMark consortium.
Deadline: 24 June 2026.
Interested candidates should apply via the Radboud University vacancy page and follow the direct application instructions there.
