Postdoctoral position in space solar cells at the University of Málaga
The Materials & Surfaces Lab at the University of Málaga is recruiting a postdoc for the EIC Pathfinder project “Zero-loss Energy harvesting Using nanowire solar cells in Space (ZEUS)”. The project focuses on advanced characterization and environmental testing of multijunction nanowire solar cells for space applications.
This is a 2-year, 100% contract with a starting date in Fall 2026. The role is well suited to candidates with a background in semiconductor physics, materials science, or a related area, especially those with hands-on experience in solar cell characterization and space environmental testing.
Key requirements include a relevant PhD, strong analytical and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and good communication skills. Spanish knowledge is considered a plus, and applicants must have a valid EU residence permit.
