This internationally recognized research environment offers an exciting opportunity to advance your scientific career and contribute to impactful research in childhood oncology.
As a Postdoc, you will lead innovative projects investigating the molecular mechanisms of neuroblastoma metastasis, with a particular emphasis on tumor–microenvironment interactions. The group is dedicated to understanding how microenvironmental cues influence tumor cell behavior and identifying therapeutic leverage points. You will develop and characterize complex 3D patient- and iPSC-derived models, design and interpret experiments, ensure high data quality, write manuscripts, present at scientific conferences, apply for fellowships, and contribute to grant applications. Additionally, you will supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive research environment.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in molecular biology or a related field, experience in cancer research or metastasis, and at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal. Essential skills include solid experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques, practical experience with 2D and 3D culture models, hands-on experience with iPSC cultures and differentiation assays, and experience conducting drug screens. Excellent English communication skills, a proactive and independent working style, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and enthusiasm for translational pediatric cancer research are required.
CCRI offers a prime location in Vienna, a European hub for biomedical research, and state-of-the-art facilities.
