About this position
The Lockett Group at West Virginia University is recruiting multiple postdoctoral researchers to join the lab in September / Fall 2026. The group works at the intersection of chemistry, electrochemistry, microfluidics, cell culture, iPSCs, targeted mass spectrometry, and qPCR, with projects spanning hybrid photoelectrodes, electron transport at heterogeneous interfaces, surface chemistry and characterization, 3D culture assay development, liver-on-chip development, NAMs for drug metabolism, drug resistance in hormone-sensitive cancers, biosensors, and new sampling technologies for 3D cultures.
The lab’s website emphasizes mechanistic insight into complex biological systems and interfacial phenomena, and notes that postdocs may come from chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, engineering, or related fields. The team is especially interested in candidates with experience in electrochemistry of modified electrodes, scanning probe microscopies, microfabrication and 3D printing, cell culture (cell lines, iPSCs, primary human samples), targeted/untargeted mass spectrometry, and omics/pathway workflow development.
This is a research-intensive postdoctoral opening rather than a scholarship. Funding details are not specified in the post. Interested applicants should email [email protected] with an updated CV; the PI says he will follow up to arrange interviews.
Research keywords: chemistry, electrochemistry, microfluidics, biosensors, liver-on-chip, 3D culture, surface chemistry, mass spectrometry, cell culture, iPSCs, biomedical engineering, molecular biology.
Funding details
