About this position

Postdoctoral Fellow in 3D Printing of Microfluidic Chips at McGill University in the Juncker Lab (Montreal, Quebec, Canada).

This postdoctoral opening sits at the interface of microfluidics, photopolymerization 3D printing, capillary flow, microscopy, and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) manufacturing and screening. The successful candidate will help develop new inks and processes for 3D printing, design capillary circuits for point-of-care diagnostics and other applications, support a community initiative to disseminate 3D printed microfluidic capillary circuits globally, and develop a low-volume, tunable LNP formulator integrated with a custom-built interference-scattering microscope for rapid single-LNP sizing and RNA cargo measurement.

The lab describes itself as welcoming, collaborative, and interdisciplinary. The role also encourages exploration of new research directions such as new diagnostics and AI-assisted microfluidic design and analysis.

Requirements: PhD in a relevant field with strong expertise in microfluidics and microengineering. The ad also looks for a self-driven researcher with a proven record of accomplishment, effective teamwork, and strong communication skills. Helpful assets include experience in instrumentation, programming, machine learning, molecular assay development, student supervision, and grant writing. Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, or a work permit, is preferred.

Funding: The post is a postdoctoral fellow position; no stipend amount or funding package is specified in the post.

Deadline: May 16, 2026.

How to apply: Email a cover letter, CV, and contact information for 3 references to the address provided in the ad. Use the subject line “PDF – 3D printing microfluidics.”

Institution: McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
