Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Associate opportunity at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, in a project on defective hybrid oxide catalysts with tunable multimetallic interfaces and AI-guided design for CO₂ reduction.

The project is led by Prof. Vivek Polshettiwar (TIFR Mumbai) with Prof. Ananth Govind Rajan (Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru) as Co-Principal Investigator. The research sits at the intersection of heterogeneous catalysis, nanomaterials, multimetallic interfaces, gas-phase catalysis, and AI-driven materials discovery, with a strong sustainability focus on CO₂ conversion and CO₂ hydrogenation.

Eligibility: Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Nanoscience, Physics, or a related discipline. Preferred experience includes heterogeneous catalysis, fixed-bed reactor operation, gas-phase catalytic processes, nanomaterial synthesis, and catalyst characterization.

Funding: The position is supported by an ANRF-funded project for 3 years. The initial appointment is for one year and may be extended based on satisfactory performance. Fellowship is offered according to ANRF norms and post-Ph.D. experience, with monthly support ranging from ₹58,000 to ₹67,000 plus 30% HRA.
