About this position

Harvard University is advertising a Postdoctoral Fellow position in molluscan cell biology, cell line development, and organoid engineering within the Holford Laboratory in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology.

The project focuses on developing novel molluscan cell lines and organoid systems for marine invertebrate biology, environmental adaptation, biotechnology applications, and translational research. The successful candidate will work on cell culture, cell line engineering, organoid development, molecular and cellular characterization, gene editing/transfection, imaging, transcriptomics, proteomics, and functional analyses. The post also connects to research on cephalopod and conoidean venom glands and venom gene families, with applications to drug discovery and disease modeling.

Eligibility: applicants should have a PhD in cell biology, developmental biology, marine biology, molecular biology, biomedical sciences, bioengineering, or a related field by the time of appointment.
