Postdoctoral Fellow Opportunity: Musical Biofeedback for Gait Training in Parkinson’s Disease

Stevens Institute of Technology is inviting applications for a postdoctoral fellow to join a new NIH-funded project in the Musculoskeletal Control & Dynamics lab in Hoboken, New Jersey, United States.

The project focuses on music-based biofeedback for gait training in persons with Parkinson’s disease. The research will examine walking and turning tasks, with or without real-time music biofeedback conveying measures of postural control. The selected fellow will take a lead role in the study and contribute to human movement and rehabilitation research.

Eligibility highlights: Applicants should hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanics, or a related field. Candidates in ABD status will also be considered. Strong skills in biomechanics of human movement or physical rehabilitation, human subjects research, communication, problem-solving, and independent/collaborative work are required. Prior clinical or research experience with persons with Parkinson’s disease is preferred.
