Tulane University is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Department of Neurosurgery's Clinical Neuroscience Research Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The research focuses on neuroscience and stroke, with particular emphasis on molecular signaling, neuroprotective mechanisms in neurons and endothelial cells, brain acid signaling in ischemic stroke, blood brain barrier regulation, vascular cognitive impairment and dementia (VCID), and traumatic brain injury (TBI). The position involves both in vitro techniques and in vivo mouse surgery models, requiring strong wet bench experience.

Applicants should hold a recent PhD or equivalent in neuroscience, molecular biology, physiology, or cerebral vascular biology. Experience with rodent surgeries (such as mouse middle cerebral artery occlusion or TBI models), VCID models, transcriptome analysis, and gene regulation is highly desirable. A solid publication record is expected. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Xiangming Zha and a collaborative research team in a dynamic academic environment.
