Postdoctoral Fellow in Structural Biology of Flaviviruses (CryoEM) at Duke-NUS Medical School Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore

A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Professor Shee-Mei Lok at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore. The research focuses on in situ structural biology of flaviviruses, including dengue and Zika viruses, using advanced cryoEM techniques. The Lok lab is part of the Emerging Infectious Diseases Programme and is dedicated to understanding the pathology of flavivirus infection and the mechanisms of antibody neutralization to facilitate vaccine and therapeutic development.

The successful candidate will work on studying virus structures in situ, leveraging the state-of-the-art cryoEM facility at the National University of Singapore, which houses G1 and G4 Titan Krios microscopes and the Arctis system for high throughput cryo-FIB milling. The lab employs a combination of molecular, immunological, biochemical, and structural techniques, including x-ray crystallography and cryoEM image reconstruction, to achieve near-atomic resolution of viral structures.

Applicants should have a PhD and experience in cryoEM. Experience with cryo-FIB milling and subtomogram averaging is preferred but not required.
