Postdoctoral fellowship opportunity in the UrbanHealthTwin project at the University of São Paulo (EACH-USP, USP Leste campus, São Paulo), with collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in the Netherlands.

The position is a 24-month FAPESP-funded postdoctoral fellowship focused on participatory digital twin development, urban heat modeling, meteorological-hydraulic processes, hydrological simulations, and climate adaptation for vulnerable communities. The project integrates urban heat, water dynamics, climate projections, vector ecology, and socio-environmental data to support resilience planning and decision-making.

Research profile sought: experience in programming, geoprocessing, statistics, digital twin development, urban systems modeling, and related hydrological/epidemiological modeling. The call also highlights the need for fluency in English and Portuguese, willingness to work on-site with communities in eastern São Paulo at least twice a week, and availability for a short research stay of up to 30 days at the partner university in the Netherlands.

Funding: FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship of R$12,570/month. The fellowship is full-time (40 hours/week) and does not allow other paid activities.
