Portland Psychotherapy Clinic, Research, & Training Center is inviting applications for postdoctoral fellowships beginning September 2026, offering two main pathways: a Research Fellowship in Clinical Psychedelic Science and a Clinical Fellowship. The research track focuses on cutting-edge studies in MDMA-assisted therapy for social anxiety, psilocybin research, and opportunities for independent projects, in collaboration with the Portland Institute for Psychedelic Science. The clinical track emphasizes skill-building in areas such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma/PTSD, anxiety, psychedelic integration, and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy, with specialty supervision available.

Both fellowships provide a competitive salary ($66,700), comprehensive benefits, supervision toward licensure, and free access to a robust professional training program. Fellows will participate in ongoing and new clinical trials, data analysis, manuscript writing, and may develop independent research projects. Clinical fellows will provide services across a wide range of presenting concerns and may supervise practicum students.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology, behavior change, clinical science, social psychology, or a related field, obtained within the last two years. Required qualifications include a record of peer-reviewed publication, strong writing and analytic skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities. Desirable skills include experience with biomarkers, coding (R or similar), and NIH grant writing. The position is full-time (40 hours/week) with a flexible, hybrid work schedule.
