About this position

MultiObs at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) is recruiting two postdoctoral fellows for its Living Lab workplan within the Multi-observatory of Science, Technology and Innovation Dynamics. The positions are part of a FAPESP SPEC-funded initiative focused on advancing how science, technology and innovation (STI) systems are studied, understood, and monitored.

The Living Lab is described as an open innovation ecosystem for the co-creation of STI analytics, metrics, and monitoring approaches. The fellows will help design, develop, and test co-creation procedures that connect researchers, policymakers, funding agencies, and societal stakeholders to produce meaningful STI monitoring tools.

Research activities include running workshops, focus groups, and interviews; identifying stakeholder needs in accessing STI indicators; and proposing new indicators, data sources, and solutions. Relevant backgrounds include communication, information science, sociology of science, science policy, and related social science fields. Experience in science communication, policy design and evaluation, citizen science, STS, data science, participatory methods, and co-creation is highly desirable.

The positions are postdoctoral, based in the State of São Paulo, and run for two years with a possible one-year extension. The working language is English. Applicants must have defended their PhD within the last seven years.

Deadline: 20 June 2026.
