Postdoctoral Position in Clinical Psychology, Trauma, and Psychedelic Research Ariel University in Israel

Ariel University, in collaboration with METIV Israel Psychotrauma Center and Bar-Ilan University, is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for Dr. Anna Harwood-Gross's Gateways Lab. The position focuses on clinical and theoretical research in clinical psychology, trauma, psychotherapy, and the use of psychedelics within therapeutic frameworks. The lab operates jointly between Ariel and Jerusalem, with clinical work based at Metiv in Jerusalem.

The ideal candidate will have a clinical background (PhD in Psychology, Psychiatry, or Social Work), strong statistical skills, academic writing ability, and experience running scientific studies. Qualitative research experience is an advantage. The lab values candidates who are passionate about trauma, psychotherapy, and psychedelic research, even if their background is not a perfect match.

Project details include involvement in an ongoing MDMA-AT randomized controlled trial, management of new psychedelic research projects from grant submission to implementation, managing international collaborations, and introducing advanced statistical modelling for current datasets. The stipend is negotiable, ranging from 6,000 to 13,500 NIS per month, with preference for candidates who completed their PhD abroad.
