The Materials Science, Energy, and nano-engineering (MSN) Department at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Benguerir, Morocco, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Extractive Metallurgy. The postdoctoral researcher will undertake original research of international excellence, develop research objectives and proposals, and prepare publications for leading journals and conferences. Responsibilities include communicating research progress to the team, establishing collaborative links with scientific personnel, and supporting the development of research funding proposals. The position also involves identifying areas for improvement within the research structure and contributing to capacity building and scientific rigor.
Applicants must have a PhD in extractive metallurgy or a related field, with expertise in metal extraction, heat treatment, refining processes, and chemical characterization of metals and alloys. Strong experimental and/or theoretical skills in extractive processes, excellent communication in English and French, and the ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams are required. Experience in academia and/or industry, working with industrial partners, and co-supervising graduate students is essential. A strong publication record is expected.
