About this position

The AgroBioSciences (AgBS) program at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Morocco is offering a postdoctoral position focused on fertilizer forms and greenhouse gas measurements. UM6P is a modern, internationally-oriented institution located in the Green City of Benguerir, dedicated to research and innovation for education and development across Morocco and Africa. The AgBS program is part of UM6P's Science & Technology pole and is committed to solving real agricultural challenges through advanced science and technology.

The AgBS Research Center is multidisciplinary, targeting diverse areas such as microbiome studies, omics, plant physiology and crop improvement, plant pathology, by-products valorization, soil sciences, agronomy, and sustainable farming. The postdoctoral researcher will join a dynamic team to contribute to projects analyzing the impact of newly developed fertilizer forms on soil pH, native microbiome, and greenhouse gas emissions. Responsibilities include implementing controlled and field experiments to measure GHG emissions and nutrient efficiency trade-offs, as well as mentoring master and PhD students.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in Agronomy and possess hands-on experience with GHG measurement techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong publication record in relevant scientific journals, experience in multidisciplinary research, and the ability to supervise students. Proficiency in English and French is required for effective communication within the academic and scientific community.
